- 1 sandwich
- 1/2 canister of Pringles
- 1 dill pickle
- 3 cookies
(And to top it all off, I broke my Lenten sacrifice by eating and reading a magazine at the same time.)
The way I see it... I have two choices:
Option #1: Chalk this up as a lesson learned. Put it in the past and close the door on it. And approach my next meal with a healthy diet attitude instead.
Option #2: Allow this minor setback to derail my diet for the entire evening. Polish off a few glasses of red wine and eat the French fries hubby purchased for dinner. Resolve to start with a clean slate tomorrow.
Under normal circumstances, I would choose Option #1. But I am experiencing unusual mood swings today. (Ladies: You understand what I mean, right?)
On top of it all, I had to skip my strength training workout. Somehow... somewhere... I must've really worked my upper body. Every time I laugh, my ribcage hurts. My back is aching and my shoulders are sore. I don't think I'm physically capable of hoisting weights today.
And, whenever I skip workouts, I always lose a little bit of willpower for the rest of the day.
I may just toss in the towel today and start again tomorrow. Not the smartest idea, I know, but the only option I can face right now.

I wish I could offer to meet you for a coffee, or short walk right now.....sending good thoughts your way that you will be able to get out of your funk......I wonder if you're coming down with the flu or something? Maybe that would explain the sore ribs?
Hang in there Morgan!!!!! I was where you were all last week. Just put your head down and keep on running - we're all here for you!

slip at times at to be honest when I slip it is a lot worse then what you have eaten. Trust me when the Arby's 5 for 5 deal comes around that it does not give me flashbacks. The best thing is to realize is that you are a human and that things like this happen. You are not on a diet but a healthy lifestyle and that is the difference.
I hope you woke up this morning and said, "Okay, new day, new chance to be the healthiest me." :)
Ok, so here is my thought. You obviously need something to cheer you up and get you out of this slump. SO..... have fun tonight. Eat those frys.. and ENJOY them. Have a couple of glasses of wine... and do a little laughing. Get it out of your system and tomorrow morning wake up with a new outlook and a fresh take on the day! We all need a day where we can just enjoy life and not worry about screwing up our diet!
Try to hang in there! Regardless of what you decide today DONT LET IT AFFECT TOMORROW :)
Hope you have a better night!
